Direct to Garment (DTG) Explained

The digital disruptor of the print world (bold claim, but we stand by it). Built for creators who want colour, detail, and full creative freedom – without the 100-unit buy-in. Think of it as the high-res printer of the apparel game: vibrant, photo-quality artwork printed straight into fabric.

[ Step 1 ]

Garment Pre-Treatment.

We start by applying a pre-treatment solution to the garment (super important for darker colours). This creates a smooth, ink-friendly surface that helps colours stay vibrant and crisp. It also stops designs from fading or bleeding after the first wash!

[ Step 2 ]

High-Def Print.

Once the pre-treatment is dry, the garment is carefully loaded into our DTG printer. It begins by laying down a white underbase (unless it's a white tee), which gives your design a bold foundation. Then, the CMYK inks are sprayed directly onto the fabric, layer by layer. Yep, just like a giant high-definition inkjet printer for apparel.

[ Step 3 ]

Heat Cure.

Printed items are then heat-cured in a conveyor dryer or with a heat press. This step bonds the ink to the fabric fibres, locking in the colours and ensuring your design can stand up to repeat wears and washes.

[ Step 4 ]

Quality Check.

Each piece goes through a hands-on check for alignment, clarity, colour accuracy, and finish. If it doesn’t meet our standards, it doesn’t leave the garage. Simple as that.
